Ford Integration

GridMind integrates with your Ford account via the FordConnect Query API to monitor your vehicle’s battery state, charge status, and estimated range. If you have a Ford Wallbox, GridMind also tracks your home charging sessions — so you can see exactly how much energy your EV uses and how it lines up with your solar production.

Prerequisites

Ford account with your vehicle registered via FordPass
Vehicle delivered and active on your account
FordPass app set up at least once (activates vehicle connectivity)

Setup

In GridMind, go to Settings → System Management → Add Connection → Ford
Sign in with your Ford account credentials
Authorize GridMind to access your vehicle data
Your vehicle and wallbox (if connected) are automatically detected

The Ford integration is read-only — GridMind can monitor your vehicle and track charging sessions, but cannot send commands like start/stop charge. Use the FordPass app for vehicle controls. Charge control commands may be added in a future Ford API update.
