Polestar Integration

GridMind connects to your Polestar ID account to show your car’s battery level, estimated range, charging status and live charging power alongside your solar and home energy. When the car charges at home, GridMind attributes that energy to the vehicle and tracks how many of its miles came from your own sunshine.

Supported Vehicles

  • Polestar 3
  • Polestar 2
  • Polestar 4 — untested; it uses a different platform, so some readings may be missing

Prerequisites

  • A Polestar ID account (the login you use in the Polestar app) with the car registered to it
  • The car delivered and connected to Polestar’s cloud

Setup

  1. In GridMind, go to Settings → System Management → Add Connection → Polestar
  2. Enter your Polestar ID email and password
  3. Your car is detected automatically. If you own more than one Polestar, pick the one to show on the dashboard.

Polestar has not published an official owner API, so this integration reads the same cloud data the Polestar app shows. GridMind polls it every few minutes without waking the car, and readings can lag a charge session by a minute or two. Polestar has changed this data without notice in the past; if a field goes missing, it will come back as soon as we can update the integration.
